Si Erich Gonzales ang gaganap na Maria, samantalang si Enchong Dee…

I guess Manny Pangilinan makes it back on to the Ateneo Board of Trustees?

UPDATE on: DepEd homework ban in public elementary schools
The Department of Education (DepEd) has prohibited public elementary school teachers from giving their pupils homework to do over the weekend, to give children enough time to play and to interact with their parents
DepEd Undersecretary for Programs and Projects Yolanda Quijano explained that the memorandum was issued due to various complaints the department has been receiving on “too many” assignments given to school children.
“Sinasabi ng parents na nahihirapan ang kanilang mga anak sa binibigay na homework na marami,” she said in an interview aired over GMA News’ “24 Oras.”

“The team won first prize in the Game Design category for their entry ‘Wildfire’ during this year’s Microsoft Imagine Cup held at Warsaw, Poland. The team was also a finalist for ‘The Envisioning 2020’ Award.
With Wildfire, the goal is to fulfill tasks related to seven Millennium Development Goals set by the United Nations must be accomplished. Societal issues in the form of agents and “tweets” providing facts about UN concerns are encountered along the course of finishing the tasks. The more volunteers you get per task, the faster you finish the game.”
I love inspired ideas that are put into action! Congratulations, Team Implication! Where can I get the game?

Long lines, PCOS machine malfunction, and the searing heat of the sun became the common complaints of Filipinos who had voted earlier today, May 10, 2010. Celebrities were not spared. It was around 11:00 a.m. when PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) got the heads-up that Kim Chiu was waiting for her turn to vote in Miriam Colege, Katipunan Road, Loyola Heights, Quezon City. Included in the text message was, “Ang haba ng pila!” It was about 1:00 p.m. when we reached the site. There was indeed a long line. Several tents were put up to provide shade for the voters. But a portion of the throng of people had to endure the searing heat of the sun because, “nagkulang ang tent,” informed a volunteer. We thought Kim had finished voting and already left, but at 1:30 p.m., we saw here leaving the precinct discreetly. In her yellow shirt, she managed to smile when we asked for a shot, then hastily got inside her pink car . In the same location and at about the same time, we spotted Pia Magalona and her daughters, Maxene and Saab. “Would you believe, we waited for four hours! We got here at 8:30 a.m.” the widow of Master Rapper Francis Magalona said in a tone that wasn’t complaining. She continued, “But it’s a good thing they prioritized the elderly and pregnant women. Ang init kasi…” Saab, wearing a shirt that bore the face of her dad, added, “And good thing they had those tents.” There was not a trace of uneasiness on their faces. When PEP asked them to pose for the camera, they smiled and proudly exclaimed, “I already voted.” In ELECTION WATCH microsite, stars tweet about elections.

My task is to make him win in Bicol on May 10,” Salceda, who is abroad, said in an e-mailed statement.
