Pastor Joe Bonifacio talked about the differences between a superhero and Christians during Day 1 of Ignite.
1. position of strength
Our position is a position of weakness. We’re saying we can’t do things on our own but only through God who strengthens us.
2. source of power
Usually, the source of power of a superhero is an object. Be it Thor’s hammer or Captain America’s shield. Our source of power is the Holy Spirit.
Ignite is the biggest gathering of student leaders in the country. It’s a 3-day conference held in Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay City last May 26-28.
DAY 1. MAY 26, 2011. 6-8PM.
The opening number was an amazing dance number.
Then, the Praise & Worship team took over.
There were so many headbangs, jumping and dancing.
Pastor Joe Bonifacio talked about coming in contact with the Holy Spirit.
We made a ripple effect using our cellphones/glowing gadgets. It was really cool!
Pastor Robert Gonzales talked about knowing and experiencing God. He was so funny!
And back to worship.
Come like a flood and saturate me now, You’re all I want
I can’t express how awesome Ignite was. Where was I in all the other Victory conferences? Gosh, it was really an unforgettable experience.
Although it was just located in Pasay, I opted to join my friends from Victory Legazpi and stay in the hotel so I can have fellowship with them (and para mas near sa venue).
I was in Section B4. Super near the stage! :)
Everything looked really nice.
I finally met my fellow Only Enchong Dee admin, Tin! :)
With Pastor Dandy :)
With one of my Victory group leaders, Ate Dar :D
Crowd went wild during the countdown.
